The Royal School of Needlework is the international centre for teaching hand embroidery based at Hampton Court Palace in south-west London. Our mission is to teach, practise and promote the art of hand embroidery to the highest standards, within both historical and contemporary design contexts.

The RSN runs a range of embroidery classes for leisure and professional purposes and whatever your interest in the art of embroidery, you will find the ideal course to suit your needs. We run courses during the week, at weekends and for longer periods of intensive study. We also run a two year full-time Foundation Degree in Hand Embroidery, the only embroidery degree course of its kind.
New for September 2010
Our Certificate and Diploma Courses will now also run on Saturdays at Hampton Court Palace.
The RSN's embroidery Studio is also based at Hampton Court Palace where our skilled Studio staff can undertake small and large scale bespoke commissions for individuals and organisations. Our Studio staff are RSN-trained and all the work is hand embroidered in the UK.
